Too many vendor presentations, too little professional development presentations. I would like to see more case studies on both successful planetariums and failing planetariums. Sessions on how to market your planetarium, how to increase attendance, how to increase both earned revenue, memberships, donations.

Trade show air conditioning should be on during set-up. Length of tradeshow should be two days only with less counter-programming. If ASTC can do their tradeshow in two days, so can IPS.
Some conferences will show the name and contract of all participants on website. It could be good for knowing each other before the conference.

Coffee breaks should be in the Vendors area
15mins presentation time for parallel sessions is too short. Did not learn any best practice. Suggest to minimise the number and increase the time for higher quality speakers.
The food was excellent except for the boxed dinners which were a little scary and not very complete (something resembling meat on bread and that was pretty much it). The banquet food and entertainment was amazing! My only complaint there was that we were a little rushed and did not really have time to fellowship. I chose to go on the Great Wall tour for a post-conference trip and didn't realize it also included a visit to the Bird's Nest (site of the Opening Ceremonies for the 2008 Olympics). While that was nice, it limited us on the actual time at the Great Wall, so I was actually a little disappointed in that trip.

The sessions were fantastic! I loved that we even had a block of papers that were not concurrent! And the number of concurrent sessions was much less than last time (of course, we had twice the number of attendees last time too) so I felt like I missed less and got to see most of what I wanted!

The Opening Ceremony was incredible, as was the opening keynote speaker. I found the Chinese to be delightful hosts, always willing to do whatever they could for you, and they did everything BIG! I was blessed to be in such a wonderful country and be able to learn so much from the richness of the many Chinese delegates who contributed to the paper sessions. What a great opportunity, this was a great choice for a location for the richness of the sharing of their culture!
I speak spanish and some sessions were complicated for the language. I know it's complicated but simultaneous translation would be desirable.
It would also be a convenient pen drive containing the relevant details of each session or workshop is delivered because is impossible to remember everything I deliver heard.
should have opportunities for remote attendees.
