Public Directory of Planetariums and Planetarium-Related Businesses
The IPS system for its Directory of Planetariums and Planetarium-Related Businesses is now integrated with this website. Try putting your name in the field "Name" of the Directory Search Form to see if you are already in the IPS Directory! Contributors may update their Directory information at any time with password protected sign-in access to the site. This is compliant with latest privacy and data protection regulations.
Here is how to be in the IPS Directory of Planetariums and Planetarium-Related Businesses:
Sign in (https://www.ips-planetarium.org/login.aspx). [If after signing in, you see the prompt, "Securely renew your membership now" or "Renew
your membership now", click on that to renew your membership—editing your profile information is part of that process.]
If you don't need to renew, just click on the "Bio" tab, and
Edit your planetarium or business data in Professional, Personal, or More Public Directory Info categories. You may set the privacy of any given item as Private, Public, or IPS Members Only.
Pay special attention to the "More Public Directory Info" section and in particular, be sure to put appropriate text in the "Planetarium or Business Name" field. Don't forget to click that Save button when you are done updating
...you can easily renew. Just follow the instructions at
https://www.ips-planetarium.org/page/renew. In the process, you automatically are given the opportunity to update your profile, which is the information
you provide for the IPS Directory also.
Pay special attention to the "More Public Directory Info" section and in particular, be sure to put appropriate text in the "Planetarium or Business Name" field.
By joining, you are automatically included in the IPS Directory of Planetariums and Planetarium-Related Businesses—in the joining
process you enter data that you want to have in the IPS Directory.
Members in any category can decide what information to is available to the public, what is available to members only, or what information to keep private. To control that, beside each field look for an icon that you can click on to set the privacy of that field:
Padlock icon means "Private" (only IPS administrators can view);
Unlocked Padlock icon means "Public" (that information is available to the
Person icon means that field can be seen by "IPS Members Only"
