The Association des Planetariums de Langue Française serves France, along with French-speaking planetariums in other European countries, in North Africa, and in French Polynesia. Additional French-speaking members are in Quebec, Canada and Louisiana, USA.

Recent projects:

At the end of 2018, French planetariums met in Paris for the RCE (Rencontres du ciel et de l’espace), a 3 days-conference about research in astronomy, events in astronomy and amateur astronomy. APLF had a booth and about 20 french planetarium participated.

In 2018 December, the Marseille planetarium hosted the small planetarium workshops.

During may 2019, the APLF association will organize its conference at the Musée de l’air et de l’espace (Air and Space Museum): workshops, conferences, full dome show, portable planetariums…

As usual, the annual magazine Planétariums will come out in 2019 May with various sections on science, pedagogy, networks and outreach in planetariums.

For the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, APLF offered to its members a 12-minutes fulldome show in 1K or 2K, produced by Phoenix production.

Others activities:
- Work in progress for the APLF website
- Work with the astronomical network in France: AFA/Vigie-ciel
