Sharing from Volkmar Schorcht, Jena Fulldome Festival Foundation
Dear colleagues,
the Fulldome Festival Foundation awards two 750,00 € non-refundable grants to support the production budget of two student fulldome films to be released at the 2018 FullDome Festival in Jena, Germany. The purpose of the Grants is to encourage creative ideas for fulldome shows and help financing them.
Please note the rather short deadline to apply for the grants: October 15, 2017. The deadline to turn in the completed fulldome film is April 30, 2018.
Applications will be reviewed by the 2017 FullDome Festival jury whose members will decide by majority vote who will be awarded the two grants. The jury decision will be announced no later than Oct. 23, 2017.
Recipients are free to find additional sources to fund their project in addition to the grant. Grant supported student films cannot enter the student film contest and are not eligible to receive any of the 2018 student Fulldome Awards. However, grant supported films are eligible to receive any of the other Fulldome Awards, including a JANUS award, if the 2018 festival jury will decide so.
All competition rules and prerequisites for entry, as set in the 2018 FullDome Festival Submission Guidelines, also apply for grant supported student films, with the exception that these films may be longer than 5 minutes but must not exceed 15 minutes.
