My name is Stephen McNeil, and I am the planetarium director here at Brigham Young University-Idaho, located in Rexburg, Idaho, in the United States. Our planetarium is a small planetarium that seats about 40 people, with an annual attendance of about 5,000 visitors. Our visitors are mostly local school groups, church groups, community patrons, and our own college students. We are situated next to the Grand Teton Mountains, Yellowstone National Park, and Craters of the Moon.
In my opinion, astronomy is a fantastic tool to expose people to the wonders of the Universe. I thoroughly enjoy talking about astronomy to everyday people, and helping them see what an amazing universe we live in. If you are ever in Rexburg, come and visit us, and I will show you around our wonderful university. Thank You.
