We've compromised on the dates for the Western Alliance Conference in Albuquerque to let all interested organizations participate. The official conference dates will be July 29 - August 2, but we are also planning many pre and post-conference activities you won't want to miss! Registration will be available in about a month, but you can get preview information as it becomes available at: www.wacdomes.org The tentative schedule below replaces all others you might have seen previously:

July 28 - Pre-conference day trip to the new Los Alamos Nature Center Planetarium and a linear particle accelerator in Los Alamos, NM.

July 29 - Mars Maven and Opportunity workshop in the morning and afternoon; opening reception in the evening.

July 30 - Paper sessions, workshops, and shows.

July 31 - Very Large Array Tour with possible stops at the Long Wavelength Array and the Magdalena Ridge Observatory.

August 1 - Vendor area open, papers, workshops, and shows.

August 2 - Vendor area open (if needed), papers, workshops, and shows; fiesta in the evening.

August 3 & 4 - Post-conference tour to southern NM, including a visit to the New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo and possibly Apache Point Observatory and/or White Sands Missile Range Museum.

We're also talking to David Beining at Arts Lab about doing some form of DomeFest before or during the conference.

We'll soon conduct a survey to gauge interest in a two-day van tour of space science-related sites in southern New Mexico after the conference. This would include meals and accommodations at an additional charge to conference registration.
