Windows on Earth

Dear IPS members,

We are exploring a potential collaboration with the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) to deliver International Space Station content to IPS members. To help us develop a partnership that meets your needs, we would like to better understand both what ISS related content people are currently presenting in their planetarium, and also if there is interest in the content we are thinking of developing together with CASIS.

So I would like to ask you to email me with the answers to the following questions:

  1. Do you currently feature ISS content in your planetarium? If so, what do you do, and what assets and software do you use?
  2. We are thinking of creating two types of content in collaboration with CASIS. One would be a produced short video piece that would give an overview of the ISS and the activities that take place there. The other would be a monthly update package which would feature recent examples of astronaut photography and include information on the activities and experiments that took place on the ISS over the last month.

Please let us know if you would have interest in incorporating either the overview piece or the monthly ISS update in your programming.

Please visit the Windows on Earth site ( to get an example of the incredible astronaut photography we are hoping to share through this collaboration.

Best Regards,

Mark SubbaRao
